THE DECISION PLATFORM

Excel, ready to run

Choose. Adapt. Run.

The Excel integration reads a workbook as a queue of cases and your reference sheets as the rules. Floowed runs each row, writes the outcome beside it, and puts anything that needs a person somewhere they will see it.

THE INTEGRATION

What the Excel integration does

Excel is spreadsheets, in OneDrive or SharePoint. Floowed connects to it, reads what a decision needs, and puts the outcome back where your team already works. Nothing migrates and nothing is replaced.

Some of what we read from Excel

  • Worksheet ranges and tables
  • Named items, as rule inputs
  • Rate tables, limits and thresholds on a reference sheet
  • Several sheets in one workbook, feeding the same decision

Some of what we write back to Excel

  • The outcome and its reasons, beside the row
  • New rows into a table on a decision log sheet
  • Values into a range your own formulas already read

Examples, not a list of limits. A decision can read anything the Excel API exposes and write back wherever it allows it, so tell us what yours needs to see.

Two limits Microsoft sets, worth knowing before you plan around them. The workbook API reaches files in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, not a file on someone's laptop and not personal OneDrive. And it runs as a signed-in user rather than unattended, so a Floowed connection is authorised by a person in your tenant. If you would rather it ran headless, put the sheet somewhere with a service API and we will read it there.

THE LIBRARY

Decisions that run on Excel

These are library flows, already built. Choose one, adapt it to your systems and your rules, and Floowed runs every case: reading and interpreting what arrives, chasing what is missing, and deciding what happens next.

  • Supplier onboardingProcurement
  • Employee offboardingPeople
  • Claims intakeInsurance
  • Customer onboardingBanking
  • Vendor risk reviewRisk
  • Credit limit increasesFinance
  • Tenant screeningReal estate
  • Contractor clearanceConstruction
  • Refunds and goodwillRetail
  • Loan approvalLending
  • Crew sign-onShipping
  • Property closing checksLegal

These are where Excel comes up most. A decision is described rather than picked from a menu, so if yours is not here, it is a conversation rather than a no.

AND FURTHER

It goes further than Excel

The same decisions reach the systems most platforms cannot. Core banking, credit bureaus, KYC providers and insurance cores have no app to install: they start with an agreement and credentials issued to you. Some are a modern OAuth API once you have them, others are SFTP, SOAP or mTLS. We connect whichever it turns out to be.

  • Notion
  • Sage
  • Experian
  • Equifax
  • Guidewire
  • SAP
  • Temenos
  • Salesforce
  • Mambu
  • Duck Creek
  • NetSuite
  • Plaid

Not listed is not the same as not possible. We connect over REST, OAuth, API keys, webhooks, SFTP, SOAP, mTLS and direct database reads, so if a system has an interface of any kind we can reach it. Ask us about the one you are worried about.

SETUP

How the Excel integration connects

  1. Choose

Pick the decision from the library. It arrives already built, carrying what earlier runs taught it.

  2. Adapt

Connect Excel using Microsoft Graph workbook API, as a signed-in user, then set the rules and the gates to yours. You decide how much it decides.

  3. Run

Every case runs the same way, with the reasoning attached and a full audit trail. Anything sensitive waits for a person.

QUESTIONS

Excel integration FAQ

Does Floowed integrate with Excel?

Yes, for workbooks in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint, through the Microsoft Graph workbook API. Personal OneDrive is not supported by that API, and the file needs to be an .xlsx.

How does the Excel integration connect?

A person in your tenant signs in and grants access to the files you choose. Microsoft's workbook API has no unattended mode, so that sign-in is what the connection runs on. Nothing outside the files you share is readable.

What can Floowed do with Excel data?

It treats a row as a case and your reference sheets as inputs to the rules, decides, and writes the outcome and reasoning back into the workbook your team already works in.

Do I need to build a workflow to use it?

No, and you do not need to leave the workbook. Choose a flow from the library, point it at the file, and adapt the rules.

Is my Excel data secure?

Access is limited to the files you share, over Microsoft OAuth scopes, and revocable at any time by you or your admin.

What does the Excel integration cost?

Nothing extra. Integrations are included, and you pay for the work Floowed does on a case.
