Floowed vs Tipalti: Global AP or Wider Operations?

Floowed vs Tipalti: Tipalti is global AP, tax and payments from $99 a month plus transaction pricing. Floowed covers invoice intake through write-back, then other operational cases. Use both when you need to pay.

Tipalti is the stronger fit when global supplier onboarding, tax controls and payment execution are central to the purchase. Floowed covers invoice intake, document checking, chasing, approval and write-back, then runs supplier and client onboarding, employee onboarding and other document-driven cases across the company. For a global payments programme, Tipalti has dedicated depth Floowed does not provide; for wider operational cases, Floowed is the broader case platform.

Updated 6 November 2026. Tipalti facts below are from tipalti.com/pricing that day. The $99 figure is a starting platform price, not the total cost of a deployment. Floowed's price is from pricing.

The architecture, when you use both: documents and system records come into a Floowed case. The case checks, chases and decides. The approved result is posted to the ERP or accounting system the integration supports. Tipalti, or that ERP, executes the payment. Floowed does not.

Yes means the vendor's pricing page says it, or Floowed's own pages say it. This table does not infer a missing feature from silence.

A global invoice and a local case, as an illustration

Illustrative example, not a benchmark or customer result.

A supplier in another country emails an invoice. The PO matches on quantity and not on tax. The supplier's bank details on the PDF do not match the master record. Someone in procurement has not confirmed the receipt.

Tipalti is built for the finance half: capture, PO matching, the supplier portal, tax forms, and paying in 200+ countries and territories, with transaction pricing on top of the platform fee.

Floowed opens a case, reads the invoice, asks procurement for the receipt, asks the supplier only for the document or field the case is missing, and applies your approval rules. If NetSuite or QuickBooks is the ledger, the approved result is written there only in the way that integration allows. Floowed then stops. It does not validate the tax ID, screen the payment, or send the funds. That is Tipalti's depth, or your bank and ERP.

A second case the same week, a new client's documents or a new hire's right-to-work file, stays on Floowed. It does not belong on a payment rail.

Pricing

Tipalti Accounts Payable starts at $99 a month. That includes unlimited users, a self-service supplier portal and core automation. Additional fees are transaction pricing per invoice and per payment, and extra modules such as procurement, expenses and treasury. Tipalti says standard implementations are included for common AP and payment workflows, and that more complex environments may need professional services. Do not read $99 as the total cost. There is no free AP tier.

Tipalti Mass Payments is a different plan, from $249 a month, for payouts to a large payee network. It is not the AP starting price.

Floowed includes 8,000 free credits worth $80, with no card and no expiry, and Team starts at $100 a month for 10,000 credits. Every feature and integration, API and MCP access are included. See pricing. Credits pay for case work. They are not a payment fee.

Integrations

Tipalti's pricing page names native, bi-directional ERP connections for NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics and SAP, plus other ERPs and custom work through an API. It says custom integrations may cost extra.

Floowed's verified accounting connections, and only these claims:

  • NetSuite can read vendors, bills, purchase orders and receipts, and can create a vendor bill or file when the case clears.
  • QuickBooks can read customers, vendors, invoices, bills and payments, and can write a customer or vendor update, a note, an attachment, or an invoice or credit memo when the decision creates one. It does not send the payment.

Decision checklist

  1. If paying suppliers in many countries, collecting tax forms, or screening payments is the reason for the purchase, start with Tipalti.
  2. If the invoice is stuck before it can be approved, because a document or a person has not answered, that wait is a Floowed case.
  3. If the same team also onboards clients or collects employee documents, Floowed covers those cases. Tipalti does not have to.
  4. Keep the ERP as the ledger. Do not ask Floowed to be the payment rail or the tax engine.
  5. Treat $99 as Tipalti's published AP starting price, then ask Tipalti for transaction pricing and modules. Treat $100 as Floowed's Team starting price for 10,000 credits, not as a payment cost.

Frequently asked questions

Does Floowed replace Tipalti?

No. Tipalti pays suppliers, collects tax forms, and covers global payment methods Floowed does not have. Floowed covers the operational case from intake to an approved write-back, then uses that model for other departments.

Is $99 the cost of Tipalti?

It is the published starting price for Tipalti Accounts Payable, with unlimited users and a supplier portal. Transaction pricing per invoice and per payment, and optional procurement, expenses and treasury modules, sit on top. It is not a total cost.

Does Floowed onboard suppliers?

Yes, as a case: collect the documents, read them, chase gaps, apply your rules and write the approved record back. That is not Tipalti's supplier portal, and it is not tax-form compliance. The category guide is supplier onboarding software.

Which ERPs does each one name?

Tipalti's pricing page names NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics and SAP. Floowed's verified pages for this handoff are NetSuite and QuickBooks, limited to the reads and writes on those pages. Neither sentence means one integration is stronger.

Where does the invoice list sit?

The ten-platform overview is invoice approval software. Document extraction, as a different job, is Floowed vs Nanonets.
